Arnoldo is currently Head of Strategy & Business Development for the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region at Abra, a Mountain View, California-based blockchain-powered global payments network. Most recently, Arnoldo spent over five years with PayPal as Head of Financial Services and Head of Market Development for the Latin American region (all markets excluding, Mexico and Brazil). At PayPal, Arnoldo was responsible for opening new markets such as Peru, Colombia, and Chile and launching PayPal services and products across more than 26 countries. Arnoldo has also held senior Product, Strategy, Business Development, Marketing and Finance roles at companies such as American Express, MasterCard and Promerica Financial Group, a privately-held financial services conglomerate in Central America. Arnoldo began his career at Barclays Capital in New York and Miami where he focused on the Financial Services, Telecom and Industrials sectors across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. He holds an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School – UNC at Chapel Hill and is actively engaged in the FinTech space as an investor and advisor to various early-stage and mature companies in the U.S. and in Latin America.
